Our Principal, Mr Olawale Rasheed was in the early hours of Friday attacked by masked gunmen shortly before Gbongan junction on the way to Osogbo.
Mr Rasheed was travelling to Osogbo to submit his Letter of Intent to contest the governorship and attend the leadership meeting scheduled for this morning at Osogbo.
An unmarked black jeep suddenly overtook Mr. Rasheed’s jeep and blocked the path. Four masked gunmen jumped down shooting into the air and shouting “get him, get him”
Mr Rasheed’s driver then made a fast reverse and then turned into the ditch and faced Ibadan. The gunmen who by now were shooting sporadically rushed into their jeep and pursued Rasheed’s fleeing jeep.
They shot sporadically but by God neither Rasheed nor his assistant were hurt. After chasing him for few minutes, the gunmen turned back.
Mr Rasheed had since safely reached Osogbo and his billed to meet the party leaders before checking in at the hospital for shock treatment.
We want to inform out teeming supporters that God is in control and Mr Rasheed is safe.
Signed
