The gruesome killing of Da Bulus Chuwang Jang, the Acting Gwom Rwei Foron District of Barkin Ladi LGA by Fulani herdsmen has been described as barbaric, callous, and unfortunate.

In a statement issued and signed by Jacqueline Dakat the Information officer of  Barkin Ladi LGA, the Chairman called on security agencies to rise to the occasion, come out and ensure that perpetrators are arrested and justice is served.

The unknown gunmen in on Monday evening invaded the residence of the Royal Father with heavy weapons killings people.

The council has been condemned by the Chairman of Barkin Ladi local government council Da Alamba Jock Danladi.

Alamba stated this while commiserating with the immediate family of the deceased Monarch and the Foron community at large.

He noted with dismay the killing of the Royal father coming when all efforts towards total restoration of Peace after what local government had passed through and as a deliberate ploy to punch back the area into its past predicament.

The Chairman in his words appealed to the people to eschew violence, stressing though the death of Da Chuwang as painful prayed for fortitude and solace.

Da Jock Alamba lamented the ugly and dastardly act of killing the Royal father, who was a critical stakeholder in Peacebuilding in Foron District Barkin Ladi and Plateau State at large.

He said the invaluable role played by the Royal father in the Peacebuilding process would be greatly missed.

Alamba further noted that he would not be distracted over this unfortunate incident coming barely after his assumption of office as Chairman of Barkin Ladi when strategies for an ending peace in the area where being fashioned, pledged to resolutely bring to an end the threat to peace and security.

The Commissioner for Science and Technology Musa Gyang who is also a native of Foron decried the killing of the Paramount ruler whom he described as as a committed person towards the attainment of Peace, could be killed by persons for their selfish reasons and depriving citizens of the Local Government area of his enormous wealth of experience.

He, however, called on the State Government and the Security agents especially the District Divisional Police Officer of Barkin Ladi to create Police outposts in strategic locations to curtail future occurrence.

He commended the security agents for their timely and rapid response to the incident which has resonated hope to the members of the community.

On his part, the chairman Berom Education and Cultural organization (BECO)of Foron District Dagalang Bott while also lamenting on the ugly act said the Royal killings of other members of the community was no doubt a prelude to the untimely killing of their monarch who had always preached peace and harmony to his people.

He called on the marvelous of the community to remain calm and be law-abiding as they would not relent in demanding justice on the killers of the late Paramount ruler.
