A group under the aegis All Progressives Congress Active Mobilizers (APCAM) has raised alarm over a secret suspension plan for those whom it is rumored to have taken part in anti-party activities during the 2023 general elections in Plateau State.
The pressure group within the ruling party through its Plateau state coordinator Iliyasu Z. Aliyu has raised an alarm pointing at sea high-profile politicians in the state without following due party legal processes.
According to him, the nefarious plan is being orchestrated by some self-seeking individuals who are hell-bent on using the state party officials, having failed from the wards as stipulated by the party constitution while carrying out anything in that regard.
The coordinator added that “it was all clear that the APC was going to fail in plateau due to lack of leadership in the state; lack of unity; failure to deliver on campaign promises; pertinacious Ness; the inability of the party to manage its congresses well.
He stated that the fallouts of local government elections and the stage-managed governorship primaries coupled with a lack of direction crippled the APC in the state.
” He also pointed out lack of conflict resolution skills, quick to blame instead of taking responsibility, slow reaction to change, and lack of attention to detail as other reasons that have forced the party to occupy the seat of opposition in the state.
He said,” The party leadership must not buy into destroying what some of us craved to have, cherish and safeguard all in the name of vendetta. What the party needs now, is serious and aggressive reconciliation .”
