Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has warned fishermen in the State to avoid the obnoxious means of catching fish.
The Governor gave the hint during the second edition of Nasarawa State Fishing Festival held at Feferuwa lake, Tungan Nupawa community of Lafia East Administrative Area of Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Sule welcome development partners to the State, describing the event as an epoch event to create a window of oppurtunity by keep the people of the area busy.
He said the State Government will put all machineries in place to harness and enhanced Internally Generated Revenue as well to placed the State amongst the committee of States
He applauded the Chairman of Lafia Local Government, Hon.Haliru Arabo for expressing his mind in the public for him to come back for third term.
The Governor also confirmed that his administration has done more than his predecessor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
“I’m an old man, I don’t think I will contest for anything in the hearafter,I expect a new person that will perform more than us”.
“I was in received of the letter of the traditional ruler of Tungan Nupawa and necessary action will be taken”.

An event marred by celebration ,Adding that agriculture remain one of the backbone of the State.
The State Commissioner of Information, Culture And Tourism, Dr.Ibrahim Tanko thanked the State Governor for according topmost priority to culture and Tourism.
While the State Chief Judge, Justice Aisha Bashir Aliyu in her remark lauded the effort of the State Governor for the upgrading of Tungan Nupawa road.
Saying she was afraid to ply the road during the first edition of fishing festival due to the nature of the road then,Stating that the Governor deserved an applause for the upgrading of the road.
In addition opined that the new shape of the road would boost socio-economic activities of the area.
The Executive Chairman of Lafia Local Government, Honorable Halilu Arabo has advocated for a third term for Governor Abdullahi Sule.
In his welcome address as the host Chairman eulogies the remarkable feat recorded under the incumbent administration in the State.
Sarkin Tungan Nupawa ,Alhaji Ahmadu Jibrin bestowed a traditional title of Sarkin Yakin Tungan Nupawa to the Governor.
The Chairman of Fishery Cooperative Federation of Nigeria, Lafia East branch appealed to the State Governor to assist the traditional ruler with automobile to ease his voyage as well upgrade his statues.
