Governor Sule Trims Down Number Of State Ministries To 13

Nasarawa State Governor, Engr..Abdullahi Alhaji Sule has announced the trimming of ministries to thirteen, The Governor disclosed this during a Stakeholders meeting in Lafia.

The ministries affected were merged with the re-established ones which includes

1. Special Education, Science and Technology
2. Higher Education,
3. Housing and Urban Development
4. Community Development and Water Resources.

While the Thirteen Ministries

1.Education

2. Health

3 Land and Urban Development

4. Environment and Natural Resources,
5. Youths and Sports Development
6. Justice
7. Finance and Economic Planning.
8. Local Government, Community and Chieftaincy Affairs
9. Women and Social Development
10. Works, Housing and Transport
11. Agriculture and Water Resources
12. Trade Industries and Investment
13. Information Culture and Tourism

 

The Governor maintained that the scrapping of ministries was targeted at avoiding conflicting roles

 

He however asserted that the State Government is working towards strengthening Ministries, Departments.

 

Governor, Abdullahi Alhaji.Sule said the concerted approach of the State Government is to build a virile and effective service delivery and appealed for the support of Stakeholders.
