Governor Sule, Bank Of Industry Saved N500M For Youth Empowerment

Nasarawa State Government in collaboration with the Bank of Industry has set aside a whooping N500m. for the training and financing of youth in modern skills.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Youth Comrade Shauibu Sani disclosed this during a One-day Youth Summit, held at the Ministry for Local Government Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Sani said the Nasarawa State Government paid a whooping N250,000,000m as well the Bank of Industry contributed N250m for the training of youth in different skills in the State.

The SSA applauded the state Governor for his immense contribution to youth development, He explained that the N500,000m was to start-up packs available to graduates of the Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Skills Acquisition center Lafia.

Calling on youth in the State to take advantage of the new advanced Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Skills Acquisition Centre.

During the summit, Comrade Shuaibu Sani said Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule remains a youth-friendly State Governor looking at the lists of fees to be paid by the trainees for a period of three months.

“The amount charged for 30 days training is too small while comparing the charges with States like Lagos Abuja and Port Harcourt where training institutes are collecting a whooping N100,000 for one month”.

The Head of the Institution Daniel Ewuga in his address, commended Engineer Abdullahi Sule for providing an enabling environment for learning, saying trainees can acquire different skills at a time,

He listed the available courses to include Information Communication Technology, Mechanic Plastic of Paris (POP), Screening, Building/bricklaying, Make-Up

Ewuga called on the people of the State to take advantage of the sophisticated equipment acquired by the State Governor, adding that people without Western education can take advantage of the institute.

During question-and-answer sessions, Participants urged the trainers to extend the same to housewives in the State.
