Governor Al-Makura Lambast PDP Of Mal-administration, Decay Of The Economy

Nasarawa state Governor,Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has pointed accusing fingers on successive Governments of the People’s Democratic Party, for Mal-administration,decay and stunted growth of the economy.

The Governor gave the disclosure during the commissioning of Taal Orange Market, Mararaban Gurku. He further identified the ousted PDP administration as a collection of brigands, Saying the worst brigandage happened in yesteryear.

Appealing to Nigerians to remain patient with the slow pace of development under the leadership of president Muhammadu Buhari ,He attested that the Journey was slow but steady.

“President Buhari would turn around the fortunes of the state”, Governor Al-Makura during the commissioning donated N20m to the Orange market, bringing the donation to N40m,He also promised to establish a fire station so as to curb the outbreak of fire in the new market as well provide borehole to ease water problem.

Nasarawa state Governor attested that the State Government would make waivers of all forms of fees and charges to enhance a conducive business atmosphere.

Al-Makura said his regime would accord impetus to market development, adding Lafia modern market has been put into use,Stating further that Lafia neigbourhood market has been flag-off Kwandare International market,The Governor said market development remain his topmost priority.

” Market development would create jobs,value chain and revenue generation”Al-Makura commended the chairman market Association for his commitment for relocating the former orange market.

Saying the relocation would reduced hiccups faced by road users along Mararaban Gurku.

“I’m not sending the traders away rather bringing them away from darkness,He warned roadside traders and hawkers to keep-off congesting the vicinity of Karu International Market.

The Governor also promised to convert the old orange market to a mini stadium ,Others areas to be given ardent facelift are the Pennisulla left fallow for over twenty years as well look into the Karu race course .

The chairman of the market Association applauded the state Government for her contribution towards ensuring a favourable condition for traders,The chairman Baba Ali when asked about the delay in the non- completion of the internal road network, said that traders were compelled to relocate to Taal orange market due to the recent fire outbreak that engulfed the market.
