Governor Al-Makura Announces Shehu Usman Chindo Yumusa As New Emir Of Keffi

Nasarawa state Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has announced His Royal Highness, Shehu Usman Chindo Yamusa II as the new emir of Keffi Local Government of the state.

Shehu Yamusa replaces his father, Late Muhammed Chindo Yamusa who died on 4th/12/2015 after a brief illness at Keffi, The headquarter of Keffi, The state Governor hinted this at the Government House Lafia.

The present emir, who was the son of the late emir  from the royal house of Abdul Zanga  scores 5 votes to defeated his opponent Bala Mohammed Suleiman with 2 votes.

The state Governor said the selection of Shehu Usman as the substantive monarch of Keffi was in confirmation of the provision of section 8 (1) of the guiding instruction as well section 8 (3) of 1978 and Nasarawa state legal notice number 5 of 2009 and legal notice number 6 of Plateau state.

“The laws governing the administration of Nasarawa state issued a one week notice to replaces the vacant stool, Said Al-Makura, He commended the chairman council of chiefs, The emir of Lafia, HRH,Dr.Mustapha Agwai and other paramount rulers for their commitment. The meeting was ended in a closed door with vast of traditional rulers in attendances including the commissioner for Local Government and chieftaincy affairs and amongst others.
