Gov. Lalong Inspects Ongoing Projects At Plateau Assembly Complex, Assures Of Delivering His Campaign Promises

Governor Simon Lalong has marked his 100 Days in office by inspecting the ongoing project at the Plateau State House of Assembly Complex with the assurance to deliver his campaign promise as well dividends of democracy to Plateau citizens.

Addressing members of PLHA members, the Speaker RH Peter Azi and the deputy Hon Yusuf Gagdi on Saturday, observed a one minute silence for the soul of late Member representing Qua’anpan North ,Hon Godfrey Dadong Dashe who passed out after a protracted illness.

The Governor emphasized that, I was here to inspect this edifice which its contract was awarded four years ago but when we came on board you know that I was abandoned with members seating inside committee rooms to deliberate.

The Governor said, as a onetime Speaker I felt so bad so we immediately awarded the renovation of the structures for members to enjoy their sitting on issues that can be great benefit to Plateau people.

Lalong commended the contractor Kamba construction company for quick completion which was done within the time frame, he also assured the contractor of getting more contracts in the state.

The Speaker ,Hon Peter Azi lauded the governor for not forgetting his own constituency in the area of development, as he said we are encourage by the motivation and the standard model of hollow chamber for members to deliberate on important issue affecting Plateau people.

He assured the governor of making good use of the hollow chamber toward championing program of rebranding the state. Azi pledged to work together with the Executive arm to attract meaningful development.

Deputy Speaker Hon. Yusuf Gagdi appreciated the effort of the new administration in rehabilitating ongoing roads construction in the state.

He said as members of opposition party, it is not for them to be fighting each other on the basics of party differences but ensure that they will make laws that will have direct impact on the lives of people.

“I don’t think the opposition are our problems but we all need to build synergy and move the state forward.”

The contract for the renovation that was awarded to the sum of 578 million will be expanded to 836 million including speaker and deputy speaker residents.
