Gov. Ihedioha Visits Police Recruitment Exercise Centre

On 17th July, 2019 the Governor of Imo  State,Chief Emeka Ihedioha, was accompanied by the former Imo Governor, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim,visited the police officers mess,venue of the ongoing police recruitment (screening) exercise in Imo State.

 

The Governor was received by the Commissioner of Police Imo State, CP Rabiu Ladodo,the Brigade Commander 34 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Yi Tukura,the State Commander of the FRSC, and The state Coordinator of the recruitment exercise in the state,Mrs.Anuli Okoli.

 

Mrs.Anuli Okoli,a Director with the Police service Commission, thanked the Governor for his visit, which she said is so encouraging and mind blowing as it one of it kind ,such that has not been witnessed anywhere in the federation, she informed the Governor that the turn out in Imo is encouraging as Imo recorded the highest number of applicants all over the south east, she also informed the Governor of the modalities which she said, involves physical screening, and will finally terminate with an examination which is fixed to hold on the 3rd August, 2019  simultaneously across the federation.

 

Gov.Emeka Ihedioha thanked Mrs.Okoli and her team for their sacrifice, dedication and commitment to the service of the nation and promised to support the team in anyway possible to ensure thy succeed in their assignment.

 

He further thanked and congratulated the intending police officers for their zeal and determination to serve their fatherland, he further charged them to be of good and exemplary conduct when chosen,as the Police job is a noble progression,he further charged them  to be good ambassadors of Imo State,he however, reminded them that only a specified number will be chosen as everyone will not be selected at the same time,because of the requirements and specifications, he encouraged those who may not be chosen due to their fallen short of some requirements like height,feet age etc,not to lose hope as they will still be relevant in other aspect of national or state service, as the state Governments is exploring all avenues to create gainful employments for youths in the state.

 

Concluding, the number one citizen of the state   pledged the state Governments support to see the success  of the program.
