Gov Bala Sworn As For A Second Term, Says I will Not Fail Bauchi People

Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir was on Monday sworn in for a second term along with his deputy, Rt Honorable Muhammed Auwal Jatau by the chief judge of the state, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar.

The inauguration and swearing-in ceremony attracted dignitaries from the political side, traditional leaders, religious leaders, businessmen, and women in the state.

According to Governor Bala, he said that” I stand here again, as I did, in 2019, to promise you that since the God we serve as a people, did not fail us, I will also not fail you and I will continue to serve you in absolute humility and devotion to your needs and expectations.

“I have always maintained that the oath I just took, as I did in 2019, is a sacred act. It is not just a constitutional duty but a covenant.”

He said that is among the few governors re-elected in the North East and the country at large, it’s an opportunity and privilege to serve better.

“I am eternally grateful for the belief you have expressed in my leadership qualities, inspired by the conviction you have reposed in my humble capacity to continue to pilot the affairs of the great State – a state we have grown to love and develop,” he said.

While noting that the elections have come and gone and the people have made their choices known on whom they trust to govern them, he said: “The time has come for the healing of our land, we must submit to the culture and norm of peaceful coexistence that Adamawa is known for, it is indeed a collective enterprise.

He urged the people of Bauchi State not to allow themselves to be used as agents of violent disorder.

Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of Bauchi State, said that “We remain the proud sons and daughters of Bauchi State, and no disruptive influences of politics should break the cords of our togetherness,”
