Gizo Delivers Tinubu Landslide Victory In Kanam LGA

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC ,chief Dr. Amos Gizo on Saturday, 25th February  delivered his polling unit, Ward and Kanam Local Government of Plateau  state to his principal,  His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the  candidate of the APC in the recently concluded presidential elections.

Chief Gizo who is the Magajin Garin Gidgid, Wakilin Jhar, and the Ajiyan Kanam voted in polling unit 8, Gidgid central primary school ,Kanam local government area, Plateau state.

Gidgid,a community of 99 percent Christians was tipped to vote overwhelmingly for Peter Obi  considering the religious campaigns embarked upon by the Labour Party .

The narrative was quick to  change with the arrival of Gizo who interfaced with women,youths, elders and the leadership of  churches .

Gizo described Jagaban as a person who emphasizes concrete  political, social and economic development for all as well as standing for what will bring qualitative and quantitative social benefits to the people.

Gizo added that Asiwaju will change  the way politics is played. He said the administration of Tinubu will be predicated  on the exigent needs to address injustice, poverty,  insecurity and development deficits.

He therefore urged his people to elect Asiwaju who he described as the best candidate that would serve  their interest considering how tolerant and accommodating  he is.

You may recall that Dr Amos Gizo has been an ally of  Asiwaju for two decades where he served as Plateau state chairman of AC and ACN and he coordinated the entire ACN family for Asiwaju.

Dr Amos Gizo has been a pioneer leader of Support groups for the actualization of Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2023 as Patron and BOT chairman for the popular TSO, APCON, MFAT, APC Action Group. Northern Christian Youth in Politics support Group for Asiwaju. North East Christian groups in Politics, Legacy Group for Asiwaju etc During the Presidential Primaries, Amos Gizo stood firm for Asiwaju against Governor Simon Lalong’s preferred Aspirant Rt Hon Chibuike Ameachi who eventually gave the delegates to Asiwaju.

Dr Amos Gizo is a Director of Artisans in PCC and the Special Adviser North to the National Coordinator ICC .

 Dr Amos Gizo traversed the nation during the Presidential rallies and went to almost all Northern States canvassing votes for Asiwaju amongst the Christian in the North.

The outcome of the election proved how important the interface  with the Northern Christian community and his immediate constituency was and it equally proved he has a strong grip on his people.
