Gbong Gwom Jos Suit: Court Orders For Out Of Court Settlement

Justice Christine N. Dabup has ordered the director civil litigation ,Plateau State Ministry of Justice to explore out all avenue in settling crisis through   dialogue with all the interesting parties towards promoting peaceful coexistence in the state.

 

Justice Dabup urged them interesting parties to further discuss in a peaceful manner because the state  at this period need something that can encourage mutual friendship .

 

She adjourned the suit to 2nd October, 2019 for hearing into a pending amended application for the interested parties .

 

The Da Gwom Izere Chiefdom also brought a fresh application seeking to join in the suit which their ,Barr Nantok Dashuwar  said as an interested party he has a application .

 

Dashuwar told journalists at the High Court on Thursday that the suit was initially introduced by a group of individual of Berom extraction against the Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong challenging the upgrading of some traditional stools to 1st class and second class status .

According to him the application brought by the chief of Anaguta ,Ganawuri to join in the case as 6th  defendants over the suit  .

 

The  Gbong Gwom Jos ,Da Jacob Gyang Buba challenging the Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong and his agents on Monday 08-07-2019 to stop them from further degrading him as the  Gbong Gwom Jos to Gbong Gwom  Berom   .

 

 

When the matter came up today for hearing ,the plaintiff /Applicant ,counsel ,Barr Niri Darong told the court that the it was slated for him move his motion of the amended originating surmount .

 

My Lord ,the motion for today is move the amended originating but at this point there are interesting parties who are seeking to join so as to become part of the proceedings .

 

The Da Gwom Izere of Jos East , Ujah of Anaguta, Chief Jauro Magaji,  Ataa  Aten of Ganawuri and Gwom Rwei of Barking Ladi  ,Riyom,Jos North  Local Government Councils of. Plateau State to join as interesting  defendants who served fresh application .

 

 

The three application seeking they should join as 6&7&8 &9  defendants which brought  four   paramount rulers seeking to join in the matter.

 

We have already filed and served our processes with a motion on notice and we sought the leave of court to join as codefendants in a  suit filed by the Gong Gwom Jos ,Da Jacob Gyang Buba challenging Gov. Simon Lalong’s  ,Attorney General of Plateau state for attempting  to tamper with the stool of  Gbong Gwom Jos .
