FRSC Outlaws The Use Of Log, Barriers On Highways by Tax Collectors
The Federal Road Safety Commission in Nasarawa State has called on tax collectors on highways to desist from using barriers to block highways
The Nasarawa State Sector Commandant, Faustina Alegbe disclosed this during an interview with selected Journalists at the command office.
Alegre said the use of barriers to block highways is old fashioned and cannot stand the taste of time.
She expressed concerned over the rising spate of illegal speed bumps in the state, saying the FRSC and the State ministry of Works and Transport are working towards addressing the anomalies.
Faustina Alegbe appealed to both private and commercial drivers to key into the policy of speed limiter; she disclosed that speed limiter would assist in saving lives, money by car owners.
“Speed limiter device prolong the life span of vehicle, saying the theme of this year’s operation “Right to Life on the Highway” adding that is zero tolerance to over speeding.
The Sector Commandant warned commercial drivers on over speeding, overloading and rough driving during and after yuletide.
