Fresh Crisis Rocks Bauchi PDP, As Party Demands N800 Million From Suspended Executive

PDP1Fresh Crisis has appears to be rocking the entire the State working committee of the Bauchi state PDP following the suspension of the state chairman, secretary and 16 others on allegations of abuse of office, from the State Chairman of the Party Ibrahim Yaro Yaro and the Secretary of the Party Sama’ila Burga, they gave them 12 hours to reply the letter or the committee would proceed to take disciplinary action them in accordance with the provision of the party’s constitution.

Before the expiration of the 12 hours Chairman of the party Yaro Yaro announced the suspension of some of the members of the State Working Committee.

When members of the  State Working committee did not received any response from the Chairman and Secretary they  held another meeting last Friday and suspended Ibrahim Yaro Yaro and the Secretary of the Party Samaila Burga, they equally appointed Alhaji Musa Haruna Shitu  as acting State Chairman and Barrister Mukhtar Abubakar as Acting State Secretary.

Talking to newsmen at the end of their meeting the new State acting Chairman Shitu said  were suspended  because of their in ability to account for over 800million one in Keystone and in Diamond Bank in  Keystone 348mn and in  Diamond bank over 460mn generated from 10percent membership dues deducted monthly from the salaries of  former political appointees of the state government as their contribution towards running the affairs of the party.

He alleged that the two officers spent the money without the knowledge of the executives and without following the laid down rules of spending as enshrined in the party constitution.

Shitu said the Secretary Burga had resigned his appointment as state Secretary of the party when he contested the position of the State Deputy Governorship candidate of the party in the last general election.

He said they have appointed the committee that will investigate the allegations and advised the members of the party to remain calm and wait for the outcome of the investigation on the allegations of abuse of office against the two officers.

Shitu described their suspension by Yaro Yaro as null and void because as Chairman he has no right to suspend anybody.

Addressing a press conference Separately Burga said the money alleged in their letter was N300mn and the money was used in running the day today affairs of the party  and all the members of the Working committee sign and collected money for one activities or the other and described their suspension as null and void because it was against the law of the party.
