There is another fresh political gun battle waiting to be exploited in Plateau State People Democratic Party, PDP, between the two retired generals ahead of 2023 general elections.
However report reaching our medium revealed that an alleged another secret meeting involving the former Governor of Plateau state Jonah Jang who is making arrangements to host his supporters who are still loyal to him, amidst serious allegations of trying to create parallel leadership of the party in the state.
This medium gathered authoritatively that the plan to claim the leadership of PDP in Plateau state sprung up again after the supreme Court judgement that gave APC victory in Plateau state, unconfirmed reports said many of the Jonah Jang close associates were seeing jubilating over the judgement, to the amazement of PDP faithfuls across the state.
One of PDP chieftain who spoke to our correspondent under condition of anonymity claimed that Sen Jang is organizing a dinner for his supporters and to use the occasion and announce himself as leader of the party in Plateau state.
He said their meeting which is schedule to hold on Friday 24, Jan 2020 in his Waye foundation Doi,Jos south LGC still remain close between him and his supporters .
He also alleged that what he couldn’t understand is why a dinner at this particular time when the flag bear of the party in 2019 Sent. J. T. Useni is still leaking the wounds secured from the APC ,while the Former Sen Jang supporters have never followed us to the court for once, they have severally issued congratulatory message to the incumbent APC Gov Simon Lalong on print Media before and after the judgement.
According to him, the actions took by Jang and his supporters are now surprising all of us, but for this meeting we are not surprised with the development going on within the PDP family.
Some political pundits are saying that the former Governor had a court case which ,no one can tell if he wants to bargain with APC Government for soft landing by defecting and destroying the party structure in the State .
We remain resolute in our support for the NWC decision in resolving the crises that the same groups unleash on innocent party faithful.
They maintained that ,Sen Jeremiah Timbut Useini remains their party leader in the state, they are standing with him, we say NO to ethnic a gender in political field .
He said the comments remained a hearsay but they see this gathering as suspicious, but we will go there and hear what they have to say.
Meanwhile a chieftain of the party in Northern Senatorial Zone Mr Gayus Bot said the gathering is of no effect to the party, it lacks any powers to change our party Constitution or structure, I personally serve under him and nobody has invited me for the meeting yet.
We can’t continue like this I think the Baba Jonah Jang I know, if this allegations turn out to be true, I will surely believe some people are attempting to take advantage of his name and reputation to the dustbin without him realizing it.
Let him remain calm and focus, Sen JT Useini has been holding the party for more than three years now, is his senior by age and military rank. i suspect something is wrong, some of the people around him can be using his name and himself unknowingly.
Let’s wait and hear what they have to say at the meeting.
