Fresh Attack Near Ncha In Bassa Plateau, As Army Lost One Soldier, Kill 5 Attackers Who Launched Attack On Bassa Community
Operation Safe Haven deployed to restore Law and Order in Plateau state has said it killed five assailants while repelling an attack on a village near Ancha in Bassa local government area of the state, where about 20 persons were killed Friday morning, viewpointnigeria.com is reporting.
According to ViewPointNigeria’s correspondent it said that a soldier with the taskforce was also killed in the fire exchange while another was shot in the leg and is presently responding to treatment at the OPSH clinic.
OPSH Media and Information Officer, Captain Adam Umar yesterday said, “apart from the five that were killed by our men some were injured. But the thing with these assailants is that they don’t leave their dead, they run with them.”
Captain Umar said, “we also lost one of our men and another was injured and is responding to treatment,” adding that the Miango area is still dominated by men of the taskforce who have since commenced day and night patrol and are combing the area in search of the assailants.
