A cabinet member in Nasarawa state Government who is the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs Eunice Kigbu was held hostage by a female Special Adviser to Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura over illegal deduction of allowances of members of the Nasarawa State Contingents for the National Centre for Women Society (NCWS) forthcoming conference in Abuja.
The commissioner meet her Waterloo following a slash in traveling allowances of other members of the Nasarawa contingents , saw the Special Adviser to Governor Al-Makura, Hajara Danyaro according to a reliable source beat the cabinet member to stupor in spite of the intervention of the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Azzores and the permanent secretary in the ministry.
It was gathered that chunk amount of money was released by the SSG to enhance the journey of some highly placed Nasarawa women from the Ministry in the state to the forthcoming conference of NCWS.
Impeccable source affirmed that Eunice Kigbu deducted allowance of some core politicians close to the first lady, Hajiya Salamatu Tanko Al-Makura even after shortlisting their names.
This medium gathered that the women Affairs commissioner allocated allowance to herself, her driver and Personal Assistant while Hajara Danyaro was only allocated her allowance while her driver and personal Assistant were denied same allowances allocated to aides of the Woman Affairs Commissioner.
A reliable source revealed that the melee which drew the attention of people within the Ministry was however tackled headlong by the First Lady of the state as she pleaded with the Adviser to end the fiasco between them in a telephone conversation.
