Fracas In Doma Local Government Over APC Primary Election

There was pandemonium at the Doma Police Outpost as supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress exchanged banters over party primaries.

The ruling party was sharply divided. It was alleged that some party stakeholders were circulating information that Doma was given the slot of Senate while the House of Representatives seat was shifted to another Local Government, not Doma.

As gathered by this medium, the misinformation seriously divided the APC as a party, and it was also gathered that the supporters of Hon.Joseph Attah were those resisting the attempt, adding that this would affect their aspirant.

As a party, the APC was being accused for her inability to distribute election material on time, and the party supporters are accusing party stakeholders at all levels of providing membership cards to all illegal voters.

This is what the party supporters at RCM Primary School said during an interaction with APC supporters, but Universal Reporters could not reach the party Chairman, Aliyu Bello, for clarification.

As of 4:34 pm, they have yet to commence the distribution of election materials to Agbashi, Rukubi, Doka, Alagye, and Akpanaja.

The returning officer of Doma Local Government, Adamu Sale, during an exclusive interview at about 5:24 pm, said the officials will deliver their work without hitches.

He said the distance from Doma to Akpanaja is not a problem for the exercise, adding that the Local Government Guest House has been designated as the Local Government collection centre.

The Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Jonathan Okuba Addra, while speaking with selected Journals, said they left the Local Government Guest House due to a lack of security operatives at the venue, which necessitated their move to the Police Station.

The State party Chairman, Aliyu Bello, could not be reached for comment on the non-availability of membership cards for party supporters and the lateness of INEC officials, party agents, and returning officers.
