Former Deputy Speaker PLHA Agog Support For Senator Onawo As He Flag-off 8Km Road  In Doma

A former Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Honorable Mathew Akwe has described Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, Senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial district as a politician who believes in action not words

He erstwhile deputy Speaker in the defunct Plateau State drop the hint during an interview with Universal Reporters Online during the flag-off of an 8km township road in Doma by the Senator representing Nasarawa South.

The staunch member of the People’s Democratic Party said the people of Doma are not surprised by the exemplary leadership qualities of the present Senator.

“I’m not surprised by what is doing today, I know from the beginning and that was the reason why we in Doma accorded him our maximum support to continue from where he stopped”.

“Onawo has done it before, more was expected from him, Is a former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly and ordinary member, a two-term member of the House of Representatives, and now senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria’.

In addition averred that, “After he served us for two terms, we will decide on what he will do to us.

Urging the people of Nasarawa South Senatorial district to accord utmost priority to the representation of Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, He explained that the mandate of Senator Onawo is a clear definition of a popular mandate.

Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, (PDP), The Senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial district during the official flag-off of the project has maintained that the 8km township road project he embarked on is a capital and not a constituency project.

The Senator in an exclusive interview with Universal Reporters said the project was a capital project carried out by the Government and was lobbied by him.

He disclosed that the project is a beginning of good things coming to the people, He however explained that those handling the project are also Local contractors.

“They are Local contractors, they know what we know, They know the terrain more than Oyibo”.

Onawo told the people of Ogoshi Onawo Street that the suppliers were all within Doma community.

“In essence, if I said suppliers, I mean those supplying stone, chippings, and other materials that will ease their work”.

He further buttressed that he embarked on the 8km township road project with good intentions to bring the government closer to the people who voted him to power.

Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo assured his constituent that the project would be completed within two to three months of the first 1km road

“We are starting with 1km and the completion period is two to three months, after the completion of the 1km, they will continue with the remaining 7km”.

The contractor, Dahiru Biu in an exclusive interview with selected Journalists during the flag-off of the project gave the assurance that the 1km road will be completed within the specified period of two months.
