There was an outbreak of fire that engulfed the Faculty of Arts of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi in the early hours of Monday 27th, 2019.
An Eyewitness said the just saw a flame from part of the Faculty of Art building.
The Public Relations Officer of the University, Mr. Abraham when contacted he cannot ascertain the main cause of the inferno.
According to him”, I’m suspecting whether it was a spark from electricity that ignited the fire”.
When asked whether the University has a fire service unit, the spokesperson said there is provision in the Institution.
“We rely on fire extinguisher to quench the inferno”
A source who pleaded anonymity said the fire was quenched by fire Service truck from Shitu Alao Guard Brigade Barrack.
