Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, who died after a brief illness at the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa.
In a condolence message issued on behalf of the government and people of Adamawa State, Governor Fintiri described the late Deputy Governor as “a remarkable leader who embodied trust, integrity, and dedication.”
“I am shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of this exceptional public servant,” he stated.
Governor Fintiri extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, friends, and associates of the late Senator, as well as to Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri and the entire people of the state.
He noted that Senator Ewhrudjakpo made significant contributions to the development of Bayelsa State, commending his courage, determination, and passion for public service.
“His tireless efforts toward the growth and progress of Bayelsa State will be deeply missed, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations,” Fintiri said.
The Governor prayed for God to grant the family and people of Bayelsa the strength to bear the loss and for the soul of the departed to find eternal rest.
