FG Appoints Bashir Haliru Binji as NAIC Acting MD

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development has confirmed the appointment of  Mr Bashir Haliru Binji as the Acting Managing Director/CEO of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) with effect from 2nd January, 2016.

His appointment is sequel to the resignation of Mr Bode Opadokun who was the former Managing Director of the Corporation.

Mr.  Binji who hails from Sokoto State was until his appointment the Executive Director (Operations) of the Corporation.

Binji is a graduate of Usman Danfodio University Sokoto with Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Management Studies.  He is an associate of Chartered Insurance Institute of London he also has an MBA degree from Ahmadu Bello Univeristy Zaria and Diploma in Insurance with Distinction from the famous West African Insurance Institute Banjul, The Gambia.

Binji has attended many courses both locally and internationally.  He holds an Advance Diploma in Insurance, London, and has over 18 years cognate experience in the insurance industry.
