The Vice Chancellor,  Federal University Dutse (FUD), Professor Jibrilla Dahiru Amin said the Institution will soon starts its post-graduate programmes (PG).
Addressing a press conference yesterday in Dutse on its three years of existence he said about N160 Million has been expended on staff training, both at home and abroad.
Saying N140 Million is usually given to the Institution by Tertiary Education Trust Funds mainly for the training of staff while N20 Million comes from the University.

The VC said currently they have 212 Academic staff, among them 34 are presently on PhD course within Nigeria while 4 were sent abroad for the same PhD course in 2013.
According to him 119 Academic and non-teaching staff attended conferences and training in 2013. While the University has 1,597 students studying various courses.
Professor Amin also explained that soon the Institution will commence Post-graduate programmes next session. “We also established a staff cooperative society”.
“We have introduced new courses in our academic session BSC Fisheries, BSC Forestry and Wild Life, BSC chemistry, BSC Physics, BSC Botany and BSC Zology”, he stressed.

Also he pointed out that next academic session three new faculties will be established. 

“These are faculties of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, Management Sciences and Education. We are working with Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Birninkudu to serve as our Teaching Hospital”.
