Exposed: Shocking Revelation As Decaying Nigerian Corpses lay in Gabonese Morgues: An Open Letter To President Goodluck Jonathan.

The Nigerian diplomats accredited to the Embassy of Nigeria in Gabon have transformed the Mission into a symbolic horror for Nigerians. As Nigerians, we expect these diplomats to enhance our foreign policy objectives and the welfare of Nigerians among others, but unfortunately these diplomats have become tyrants, using violence and humiliation as their daily agenda for Nigerians.

Sir, with our daily experience in Gabon, Nigerians are being deprived of the right to consider themselves worthy of responsibility for their own lives and dignity.  These feeling of humiliation grow day by day as our reason and human status were being deeply insulted everyday to accept all the vulgarity which makes up the abortive mental world of these diplomats. Moreover, they keep on witch-hunting people they believe to be capable of disseminating information about their Machiavellian and corrupt practices, to put the Nigerian community on hypothetical suspense. Today, four Nigerian corpses 1) MONDAY MASSADE, 2)AKPANEYO DAVID UMO, 3)EKONG SUNDAY, and 4) ADEBISI ADEOYE ADEPEGBA that died of brutal circumstances in Gabon lay decaying in the morgues without the Embassy signs of concerns. The most embarrassing and heartlessness of these diplomats is the case of ADEBISI ADEOYE ADEPEGBA. These diplomats in their abhorrent attitudes even invited the Gabonese gendarmes as usual to arrest the Nigerians in protest against their negligence and lack of diplomatic capability.

Your Excellency, the late ADESIBI ADEOYE ADEPEGBA’s story is very pathetic, and indeed it shows the wicked and heartlessness of Nigerian diplomats in Gabon. It all happened on Sunday, the 14th of April 2013 at about 1.30 pm Mr. ADEPEGBA, a taxi driver in Gabon was invited as extra driver to a ceremony. At 7 pm the family received a call from one Mr. Dolo, a Gabonese, who informed them of his disappearance from the party venue. The mystery of the disappearance became confusing when the family called his phone number again at 8.00 pm and the correspondence was the same Dolo who had earlier announced his missing. After all night searching with no avails, his body was discovered on Monday morning floating in water close to the lieu of the ceremony mutilated with his eyes and the lung cut off (see picture). The Ambassador Mr. JOSEPH EZEMA was informed of the incident on Tuesday at 12.12 pm. He directed the people to contact his deputy WILFRED OBIMAH, and this was done immediately. Mr. OBIMAH requested for an official written report that was provided accordingly (see copy). But with all these, the embassy turns deaf ears to their predicaments despite the people frequent approaches for diplomatic intervention.
After a week of betrayal and disappointment from the embassy, there came a non-violence protest of ADEPEGBA’s kinsmen on Monday, 22nd of April 2013 at the gate (see picture). Mr. WILFRED OBIMAH, of his evil characterization invited the gendarmes to arrest the people attributing them as thugs. The gendarmes who got to know the facts of the story also became disappointed and urged him to meet the people. Finally, when the egomaniac came out amidst the gendarmes (see picture), his statements were so ridiculous of humanitarian instincts, despite the horrific pictures and the circumstances of ADEPEGBA’s death, Mr. OBIMAH wholly admitted that the embassy did not consider any complaint because the information came through a Kwara man while the decease is supposed to be a Lagosian, they could only have acknowledged complain from a Lagosian. To this he received a yell from the crowd. Again, according to Mr. OBIMAH the embassy has refused to interfere in the matter because the letter written to the embassy was wrongly authored. Again another yell, then requested a new letter in plain sheet.
To cover up his wickedness and shameful reactions, Mr. OBIMAH called on one Mr. SUNDAY LUCKY from Delta State at about 2.00 pm the same day to inform him that the Yoruba people have come to dump a corpse at the embassy’s gate. He did this for Mr. LUCKY’s reinforcement of Delta people against the Yorubas, only for LUCKY to discover that Mr. OBIMAH is a fanatic liar. He wanted to create an upheaval between two Nigerian communities. Mr. OBIMAH makes himself a sole administrator of the Mission and renders the portfolio of the Ambassador almost irrelevant. He carries out evil deeds that are rarely reproached.
The other corpses MONDAY MASSADE died of electrocution in police custody, every effort to get the embassy involvement to seek justice proved abortive. AKPANEYO DAVID UMO, and EKONG SUNDAY, died in their sick beds when the families failed to secure financial aid of 180,000 francs CFA and 220,000 francs CFA respectively from the embassy. These compatriots lost their lives for the meager sums equivalents of#55,000 and #66,000 only because of the wickedness of these diplomats. Their corpses lay decaying in Gabon morgues till date. These diplomats feel rapture when they shut themselves away from Nigerians in their depressing vast offices, except when there are possibilities to create financial benefice to themselves.
Your Excellency, we would like to denounce some of the corrupt practices of these diplomats that make Mr. OBIMAH’s ogress’s reactions towards Nigerians. A gross swindled of Nigerians in Gabon. In the month of October 2010, a team of officer of the Nigerian immigration service visited Gabon in their routine to establish Nigerian passports to intending Nigerians in Diaspora. The price of Nigerian passport was made known to all as 8,500 naira only, and for the inconveniency of carrying the francs CFA spends in Gabon, requested for the equivalent in dollars, that is 65 dollars. After a closed door meeting, the Nigerian diplomats later announced to Nigerians a price of 100 dollars for each passport in order to share the sum of 35 dollars on each passport issued. Surprised at this sudden change of price, the immigration officers refused to take money from Nigerians, which the embassy took charge of collections to the sum of 726,000 dollars for 726 international passports issued, thus an extra sum of 25,440 dollars stolen from Nigerians (see copy of receipt).
In another development, in the month of February 2012, another team of immigration officers arrived for the same purpose of establishing international passports to Nigerians. After announcing their mission statement, the consular officer who was the only officer present in the last exercise made a smart gesture to his colleagues and they gave the same price of 100 dollars to Nigerians, meanwhile, the immigration officers still directed money to be paid to the Embassy to the sum of 635,000 dollars for 635 international passports issued, again, another extra sum of 22,225 dollars stolen, making a total of 47,635 dollars stolen from 1,361 Nigerians.
Your Excellency, when the stealing episode became known to all, and our diplomats adjectivally being called names ‘thieves’ to dishonouring our great nation Nigeria, conscious Nigerian leaders approached the Embassy to justify the acrimony, Mr. WILFRED OBIMAH assured the delegation that the extra money charged would be refunded accordingly, but that was a promise he made since July, 2012 and up till this moment, the issue remains in the closet. Pragmatically, Ambassador JOSEPH EZEMA who is very innocent in these exercises directed the refunds of extra charges but Mr. WILFRED OBIMAH remains in his status quo. He rather becomes wild and adopts the techniques of violence and humiliation against Nigerians.
These diplomats do not have time for Nigerians apart from their daily concentrations on consular cards, issuance of birth certificates which yield them hundreds of thousands of francs CFA daily, and the witch-hunting of people who can expose them. Reporting exigent issues to them never have suits, and writing to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs becomes a laudable crime to their conscience. To these diplomats the Nigerians in Gabon are illiterates and be treated as imbeciles.
Your Excellency, we are of the optimism that the present petition will meet your perfect and utmost intervention. We beg you to use your good office to get the corpses of MONDAY MASSADE, AKPANEYO DAVID UMO, EKONG SUNDAY, and ADEBISI ADEOYE ADEPEGBA buried, and possibly get justice. Again, Nigerians want back the sum of 47,635 dollars stolen from them by these unfaithful diplomats. It is very shameful for our great country.
Your Excellency Sir, the Minister of Foreign Affairs needs to know the predicaments of Nigerians in Gabon and the comportments of Nigerian diplomats towards Nigerians. They are killing the image of our great nation and the focus of Mr. President.  Nigerians need a way out.
God bless President Goodluck Ebele JONATHAN.
Thank you and God bless Nigeria.
Yours faithfully,
AYODELE OGUNJIMI Esq.
