The Executive Secretary Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board, Hon.Alh.Daiyabu Dauda has solicited the assistant of Governor Caleb Mutfwang to enable the board to renovate the permanent site to accommodate all intending Pilgrims in one camp for easy accommodation, accreditation, and facilitation Muslims to hajj.
Dauda stated this during an exclusive interview held at the Board’s temporary office adjacent Ministry of Land Survey and Planning in Jos.
He charged this year intending Pilgrims in Plateau state to conduct themselves peacefully in accordance with the sole responsibility of the Islamic doctrine while in hajj.
He thanked Almighty Allah for giving him the opportunity to serve under Governor Caleb Mutfwang who found him worthy to appoint him as the executive secretary of the Muslims welfare.
According to him, “As a Plateau Muslim, he urged all Muslim communities to imbibe the spiritual discipline of the prophet Mohammed in their conduct while in the holy land to perform the task of one the five pillars of Islam.
Daiyabu Dauda promised to embark on sanitizing the board because there were so many problems with the money of all intending Pilgrims that wasn’t returned to them and he vowed that whoever paid his money to perform the hajj, shall try everything humanly possible to ensure they travel to hajj without any hitches.
We are appealing to our amiable governor to help the board facilitate the completion, and renovation of the permanent site to smooth the operations of the intending hajj to avoid some of them being left stranded.
Dauda disclosed that the board is facing a lot of challenges of accommodation while trying to organize them for hajj, we want a situation whereby they will all be kept in one place.
He frowned at those who have been traveling to hajj more than the required number except those who are using their resources but those using government allocation to travel might suffer setbacks under his stewardship.
Dauda assured the government of streaming people who have been consistently traveling but to create the chance for fresh people to enjoy the board.
He maintained that the problem with the 2023 hajj program is that the federal government plans to increase welfare, and transportation because of the dollar rise which is 1.4 million to be deposited ahead of time which is a serious concern to the board.
Daiyabu warned all intending hajj members of 2023 to always be careful with the properties when performing hajj or else criminal elements are on the rampage.
He admonished by appealing to Plateau state contingent to always demonstrate honesty, be transparent in the holy land, and be law-abiding citizens also guide against bad eggs.
