Executive Bills Panacea For Ease To Make Business, Strengthen Democracy-Chairman House Committee on Information

The Chairman, House Committee on Information, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Adamu Omadefu member representing the Keana constituency (APC) has said the series of executive bills presented by Governor Abdullahi Sule is meant to perfect fundamental issues lacking.

 

The Lawmaker opined that some of the bills are fundamentally in place to create ease for making business which is inconsonant with Engineer Abdullahi Sule’s template of Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy.

 

Hon.Omadefu further explained that with the passage of some of those bills into law, the State would have access to grants and other benefits.

 

The State Lawmaker addition averred that about 44 bills are at the different stages while 15 bills were passed into laws.

 

He further revealed that out of the fifteen bills passed into laws, twelve are executive bills while three are private bills.

 

In his goodwill message to youth in the State,Hon.Omadefu called on the youth to be calm, a patient at all times.

 

It could be recalled that the Governor recently presented four bills to the State Assembly, The bills are a bill for the establishment of the office of the Auditor-General Local Government, A bill for the establishment of a Contributory Health Scheme, A bill for the establishment of Debt Management Office and the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Audit 2021.
