The Former Resident Electoral Commission (REC) of Bayelsa and Gombe states Godfrey Miri has lamented over the way and manner plateau people have suffered in the hands of bad leaders sine democracy returned in 1999.
Miri stated this Friday while presenting his letter of intent to run for Governorship of plateau state under  the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau state Plateau state need a God fearing leader who will care for everyone in the state .

Miri who blamed   people democratic party (PDP) for failure to address numerous needs of Plateau people said, the 2011 general elections that returned Governor Jonah Jang and Senator Victor Lar make him feel really bitter.
 According to him people even called him names as being involved in bringing ballot papers to rig in favour of the Governor Jang, saying that, Plateau state today is divided along ethnic ,religious divide where poverty is striving among our people.
Miri said, ” I have economic policy that can transform the lives of an average people,if we are going to steal government money let ensure that everybody Local governments benefited .The failure of our children is been threatened by poverty in the Land.
He added that, government starts from wards level ,we need to go down to grassroots ,in Plateau the people are neglected by the present administration in the state so object poverty had crippled the live of youths bringing children population into drugs addict .
He emphasized that injustice is the major cause of crisis on the Plateau ,adding, tribal sentiment is the bedrock of under development .
Miri lambasted Governor Jonah David Jang on illegal deduction of the local government funds which affected people living condition.
He stressed that what is main for rural populace to better their lives is being spend by few individuals ,if giving the mandate the interest must be taken into account to attract development.
Receiving him on behalf of the party Yusuf Tokit expressed delight over the missions and vision of the aspirant stressing that the party ic confident in his ability promising that as coordinating sector they will provide level playing ground for key players an pray for credible person to emerge.
He commended the developmental strides of governor Jonah Jang saying the party will be proud to see that the succeeding governor does even better.

He urged him not to indulge in the campaign calmest  and uses of abusive languages.
