Ex CAN Scribe Kadzai, Salutes Gowon At 90, Says He Is A Patriot, Who Is Committed To Nigeria’s Unity

A former National President, Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (YOWICAN), and Co-Chairman of the Interfaith Coalition Conference, Engr. Daniel Kadzai, has extended felicitations to the former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (retd.), on the occasion of his 90th birthday.

The Kadzai message was contained in a statement sent to our correspondent.

He described Gowon as a distinguished elder statesman whose commitment to Nigeria’s unity, particularly during the challenging period of the Civil War, continues to inspire generations of Nigerians.

“General Gowon’s leadership during Nigeria’s most testing times, and his subsequent dedication to peace through his ‘Nigeria Prays’ initiative, exemplifies the spirit of true patriotism.

“I particularly commend General Gowon’s post-war reconciliation policy of ‘No Victor, No Vanquished,’ which he notes was instrumental in healing the nation’s wounds and fostering the reintegration that followed the civil war.

“At 90, Gowon remains a living legend whose life’s work centers on the unity, peace, and progress of our dear nation. His dedication to Nigeria’s corporate existence and his continued prayers for our nation’s prosperity deserve our collective appreciation,” Kadzai added.

The CAN scribe-man prayed that God will continue to bless the former Head of State. “Happy Birthday Sir”, he said.
