The Former lawmaker in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Honoroble Mathew Akwe has said Honorable Francis Orogu, the embattled state chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in the state remains the party candidate in this month State Congress coming on November 14th,2020.

Mathew Akwe said Francis Orogu deserved the position due to his wealth of experience as a former chairman of the party.

 

“Whether delegates from Doma vote for him or not Orogu will emerge as the chairman of the PDP in the state”.

The chairmanship aspirant of the party,Honorable Francis Orogu while addressing the mammoth crowd at the party Secretariat said he stand the chance of clinching the chairmanship position in Doma considering his connection with the people of Doma.

 

Saying the people of Doma Local Government stand a chance to benefit from the party.

 

He called on critical stakeholders and party loyalists to maintain peace doing and after the election.

 

The former Woman leader of the party, Stella John during an introduction, promised to do more if elected for the second time as the Woman leader of the party.

 

The meeting which was well attended by creme de’ creme of the party includes a former senator representing Nasarawa South, Senator Suleiman Adokwe.

 

Others present includes the erstwhile member House of Representatives representing Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency, Honorable Joseph Haruna Kigbu, and the majority of the dissolved executive at the state level and party chairmen of Lafia, Doma, Akwanga respectively.
