The leadership of the “Environmental Transformation Commission, ENTRACO”, Imo State, ably led by the General Manager, Hon. Alex Emeziem, has been accused of intimidation, harassment of the citizens of the state, in the cause of their duties especially in the Owerri metropolitan city.
It was recently gathered that a trigger happy security personnel who officially attached to the Owerri-ENTRACO, unlawfully shot a victim, a young boy, Precious Dike, who was sent to errand by Hon.Agham, but unfortunately the bullet missed its target and hit Dike’s legs.
Hon.Agham, who spoke to newsmen, expressively condemned the action of the Civil Defence official who allegedly released a gun shot against his core mandate to protect lives and properties.
“Even during the Rescue Mission administration of the immediate past Imo Govt., we did not witness evil and such humiliation, harassment. The incident took place on Monday afternoon, July 22nd 2019 around the first-in-land road in Owerri. We expect good governance from the Rebuild Mission govt. of Gov.Emeka Ihedioha. It is too early for ENTRACO to maltreat innocent road users in such an ugly manner. The Governor should caution them, they should wear human faces while carrying out their task and duties especially in the state capital”, Hon.Solomon advised.
Comr.Agham, more so, disclosed that the ENTRACO staff operating as taskforce after all said and done still collected the sum of N10,000,as part payment to release his staff, whom he sent an emergency errand.
Meanwhile, all efforts to communicate with the State General Manager of ENTRACO, Hon.Alex Emeziem, on the issue proved abortive.
