The Coalition of Christian Groups for Good Governance In Nigeria and Diaspora (COCGOG) has dissociated  itself from the published article titled: “Youth CAN Taraba State Chapter declared support to the Taraba State incoming Resident Governor and APC Gubernatorial Candidate His Excellency Distinguished Sen. Sani Abubakar Danladi” which it said, it is being spread on different media platforms.

In a statement signed by Engr Daniel Kadzai, National President (Emeritus) Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN)and President, Coalition of Christian Groups for Good Governance “In Nigeria and Diaspora” (COCGOG), said; “The attention of the Coalition of Christian Groups for Good Governance In Nigeria and Diaspora (COCGOG) has been drawn to a statement by impostors claiming to be Christian Youth, to have endorsed one Sen.Sani Abubakar Danladi (APC) as Candidate for Taraba State Governorship in 2019.”

“We write to guide the general public and state our position on the forthcoming 2019 general elections at various levels across the country,” he said.

The attention of the Coalition of Christian Groups for Good Governance In Nigeria and Diaspora (COCGOG) has been drawn to a statement by impostors claiming to be Christian Youth, to have endorsed one Sen.Sani Abubakar Danladi (APC) as Candidate for Taraba State Governorship in 2019.

We write to guide the general public and state our position on the forthcoming 2019 general elections at various levels across the country.

We shall continue to vehemently resist the shenanigans and sinister plans by hired agents impersonating Christian faith based organizations to propagate political deception thereby misleading the body of Christ.

We therefore dissociate ourselves from the published article titled: “Youth CAN Taraba State Chapter declared support to the Taraba State incoming Resident Governor and APC Gubernatorial Candidate His Excellency Distinguished Sen. Sani Abubakar Danladi” being spread on different media platforms.

For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to alert the public that Christian Youth groups do not take decisions in  the private sitting rooms of a politicians. Worse still, it smacks of wickedness when such endorsements are for  desperate politicians who have unleashed hardships on innocent citizens.

We are also not praise-singers who specialise in bootlicking and unable to speak the truth to their oppressors. We are happy to note that, the incumbent Governor of Taraba, Arch Darius Dickson Ishaku has demonstrated great determination to protect all the citizens of Taraba state irrespective of religion or ethnic affiliation as observed  in past three (3)years.

Disappointedly, it is saddening to observe that most of the impersonators are people who have benefited overwhelmingly from the government of Arch Darius Ishaku.

We state unequivocally, that we The Christian Youth believe in total loyalty to the leadership of the time as defined by our Elders and Stakeholders in Taraba. We do not believe in the neck that competes to replace the head before its time.

We believe the head is not the neck not because of the neck’s magnanimity, but because the head in Taraba State deserves it and possesses attributes befitting.

In fact, there is no room for bootlicking come 2019 and in the new dispensation we seek to create in near future, we have learnt our bitter lessons, but for the grace of God Taraba state would have been consumed.

Therefore, the said kangaroo endorsement is a broad daylight robbery by the impostors which is grossly misplaced and fundamentally malicious and should be understood in that context by members of the public.

Thank you.

Engr Daniel Kadzai,

National President (Emirutus)

Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN)

President,

Coalition of Christian Groups for Good Governance “In Nigeria and Diaspora” (COCGOG).
