Encomiums As Nasarawa Governor Appoints Former Education Commissioner SSG

People within and outside Nasarawa State continued to shower encomiums on the social media over the appointment of the immediate past Commissioner of Education, Hon.Ahmed Tijjani Aliyu as the Secretary to the State Government.

It would be recalled that Tijjani quitted the service of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi to contest the Chairmanship seat of Nasarawa Local Government and was subsequently appointed as the Commissioner for Local Government, Education.

Is the pioneer Commissioner for Higher Education before he was redeployed to Education Ministry in charge of Secondary and Primary Education.

In a related development, some members of the Campaign Council of Engr.Abdullahi Alhaji Sule who pleaded anonymity expressed dismay over the repeated and demotion of some positions.

It would be recalled that the former Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, John Waje Mamman and amongst other eight appointed as Senior Special Assistant but again announced as Special Adviser to the Governor on the same portfolio.

2.Samuel Egya, SSA Government House now Special Adviser

3.Yakubu Kwanta, SSA Youth Affairs/Non-Governmental Organizations

4.Murtala Hassan Lamus, SSA Special Duties.

 

5.Alhassan Abdullahi, SSA investment/Economic Planning

6.James Thomas, SSA Liaison Office Abuja

 7.Hon. Rakiya Alaku – SSA Women Affairs and Empowerment

8.Salihu Isyaka Ogah- SSA Deputy Governorovernor’s office

9 Barrister Abubakar Imam Zanuwa, SSA Legal Matters now Special Adviser

The appointments which take effect from 1st June, 2019 was later on reversed to Special Adviser on today 17th June 2019.

5.Abubakar Murtala Mohammed- Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable  Development Goals and Development Partners.

6.Yakubu Lamai – Director General, Strategic Communications and Press Affairs.

The new appointment was made available to Journalists by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Affairs, Sadiq Abubakar Ishaq.
