His excellency the Executive Governor of Yobe state Hon. Mai Mala Buni (Chiroman Gujba) attended the funeral prayer of Hajiya fanna Ali Gangaran ( Ya maira of Gujba Emirate) Mother to Emir of Gujba HRH Alh Mai Muktar Ibn Ali Gangaran.
The funeral prayer which was led by the chief imam of Gujba Emirate, Imam Adamu Idaini took place at the Commissioners quarters Damaturu.
The governor was represented by his Deputy Hon. Idi Barde Gubana ( Wazirin Fune) who led the state government delegation which include the speaker yobe state House of Assembly, Secretary to the state government, Head of civil service, Hon commissioners, special Advisers as well as permanent secretaries and chief executive of Board and parastatals.
The Emirs of Fika, Machina, Damaturu, Yusufari and Ngelzarma also attended the funeral prayer.
Ya maira died yesterday night after a protracted illness at the Age of 105.
The deceased is survived by 5 children and over 100 grand children.
She has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
Condoling the Emir, the Deputy Governor described the death as a great loss not only to the family, Emirate but to the entire state.
He prayed for the repose soul of the deceased, and Aljanna Firdausi be the reward of her good deeds.
