The Jigawa State Chief Judge, Justice, Sabo Ringim, has cancelled this year’s Court annual vacations for Judges due to increased numbers of litigations and cases pending in Courts which was causes by the Coronavirus pandemic in the State.
This was contained in a statement sign by the Acting Chief Registrar of the State High Court, Mr. Auwalu Sani Balango, the statement said that the Chief Judge has cancelled the three months’ vacation in view of the prolonged stay at home by the Judges due to menace of Coronavirus pandemic in the country
The statement added that the stay at home had accumulated a lot of Court pending cases unable to be deposed off by the Judges which affects the dispensation justice throughout the State.
Meanwhile, the Jigawa State Judicial Service Commission has approved the appointment of Aisha Ahmed Babura as Acting Chief Registrar of the High Court and Mr. Auwalu Sani Balango as Acting Deputy Chief Registrar, Media Relation.
The two appointments take immediate effect.
