Court
The Ekiti State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja will on Monday deliver judgment in the petition by the Peoples Democratic Party.
The date for the judgement was made known to all parties in the petition on Friday by the court.
The lawyers, as promised by the court, were formally informed of the decision.
The court had told the lawyers that they would get at least a 48 hours notice before the judgement day.
The PDP and its candidate in the last governorship election in Ekiti State, Kolapo Olusola, had gone to the Tribunal to challenge the decision by the Independent National Electoral Commission to declare the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, winner of the election.
The tribunal, headed by Justice Suleiman Belgore, had on January 9, 2019 adjourned indefinitely, but told parties they would be informed 48 hours before the day to be set for the delivery of the judgment.
