EFCC Arrests Former Benue State Governor, Suswan

Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, on Monday, arrested a former Benue state governor, Gabriel Suswam, over alleged corrupt practices during his reign.

Mr. Suswam governed Benue state between 2007 and May 2015.

Premium Times reports that he is being grilled at the moment at the EFCC office in Abuja over alleged graft while he held sway as chief executive officer of his State.

“He was invited by the EFCC in connection with ongoing corruption investigation in Benue state,” Wilson Uwajuren, EFCC spokesperson, told the online news medium.
