The chairman senate committee on poverty eradication, Senator Ali Wakili representing Bauchi south has exonerated self from the purported plans to impeach President Buhari as the elected Nigeria’s President.
This was just as the senator has denies having any rift with Bauchi state executive governor Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar following allegations that the duo have parted ways. Muhammed Ladan Ahmed aide of the senator told selected journalists in Bauchi in an interview said, those behind the allegation are mischief-makers, antics of democracy and are out to settle their perceived scores with the innocent senator who is a champion of justice.
Ahmed added that, senator Wakili had in no time join force with any group to hatch the impeachment of President Buhari as allege and describe the allegation as baseless and unfounded which is only intended to ridicule the senator and to divert the attention of Nigerians from the truth.
“There is no iota of truth in this allegation and how can a serving senator who canvass for Buhari’s support will turn against his boss in the same APC party even though those behind such allegation are only sponsored to create confusion apparently for cheap recognition before President Buhari”said Ahmed.
The senator’s aides stress that Wakili is voted to only legislate on matters representing the divergent views of the Bauchi south and not to create unnecessary division in the senate which he has been doing for the yearning and aspiration of the people.
Among the achievement of the Senator Wakili according to the aide is the provision of portable water supply, mobile science laboratories to 35 schools, herbicides/sprayers, fertilizers, irrigation pumb machine, sewing machines among others.
The aide had denies all entirety that senator Wakili is in rift with governor Abubakar and charge mischief-makers to come out with concrete evidence that the senator is fighting the governor that he even contributed for his emergence saying those angling for 2019 political should not rob his image.
Ahmed distance Wakili from contesting any political office ahead of
2019 as allege explaining he is only concentrating on implementing its blueprints as senator through legislative process for now.
He regret that reports indicated that government has directed its own state media not to feature Wakili’s programmes on air saying if it’s true, the act is inimical to national broadcasting corporation code especially in the current democratic dispensation where freedom of speech is paramount. Ahmed therefore caution political elements to desist from attacking the Wakili and toe a path of honour with a view to attract development not only in Bauchi state but Nigeria as a whole.
