The secretary to Nasarawa State Government, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed has tasked the members elect of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to be steadfast  but not to be a rubber stamp in the discharge of their responsibility.

The SSG who represented the state Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura stated this at the state Independent National Electoral Commission headquarters during the issuance of certificate of return to the Twenty Four members.
Zainab appealed to the lawmakers to put the fear of God and individual interest above personal interest.  “I wish them the best, and I expect them to discharge their duty”.
“Almost all the lawmakers are APC members and expect a fruitful deliberation; We are hopeful that the wind of change would ushered in good governance.
The only female SSG expressed displeasure over the absence of single female legislator out of the twenty four members, She further expressed heartfelt over the defeat of Hajiya Aisha Alhassan  at the recent governorship election.

“Electorate voted us massively but we were denied our mandate by men”, Said Hajiya Zainab Ahmed.
