Doma Rainstorm: Member Representing Awe, Doma, Keana Federal Constituency Donates N5million To Victims

The Member federal House of Representatives representing Awe, Doma, Keana Federal Constituency, Hon. Muhammed Ogoshi Onawo (PDP) in a bid to ameliorate the suffering of People affected by the rainstorm in Doma Local Government of Nasarawa State has donated N5m naira cash to the victims.

Onawo presented the cash to the royal father, the Andoma of Doma, Alh.Ahmadu Aliyu Ogah at his Palace.

The Federal lawmaker sympathizes with the monarch over the havoc wreaked on households and schools.

“I was born and brought up in Dona I had never witnessed a calamity of such magnitude befallen Doma community,

Though we experienced an outbreak of meningitis some years back, he recalled”.

“I pray that such a calamity would not occur again, he promised to remain committed towards the plight of his Constituents’.

The Andoma of Doma, Ahmadu Ogah in his remark applauded the Federal lawmaker for his keen donation to the affected Persons.

He called on the committee on rainstorm constituted by the Palace to fear God and remain steadfast by ensuring that only those affected benefited from the benevolence.

He urged the people of Doma especially those that were affected to shun false claims with the motive of benefitting from cash and other donations like Zinc, nail, and cement.

“I urged the committee not to be subjective instead be considerate in sharing building materials and a cash donation to affected persons while on the affected persons I urged the committee to consider the gravity of destruction caused”.

The Paramount ruler confided that over 2,500 households were affected in the rainstorm which engulfed Doma community recently.

He appreciated all those that donate money and building materials like Zinc, Cement, and nail, adding all the donations are in safe hands.

“We don’t hesitate to announce what we have in our coffers, the worth over N19 million.
