Doma-Rafin Gabas Federal Road Was Gazetted Since 1974-Senator Onawo

Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, The Senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial district has said he will ensure that the 49 years old Federal road, Doma-Rafin Gabas Road  146 km project is feasible as far as he remains the senator representing the zone at the National Assembly.

Onawo in an exclusive interview shortly after he paid a visit to the victims of windstorms in Agbashi and Iponu communities of Ekye Development Area of Doma Local Government revealed.

The senator affirmed that the 146 km Federal road that was gazetted in 1974, which was forty-nine years back suffered serious setbacks.

Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo attested that the road in no distance time will commence, He also informed his constituents that he will very soon upgrade feeder roads across the length and breadth of communities in five Local Government Areas.

According to him”, Senator was elected to make laws but not to Construct road, He added.

Recalled that the people of Doma, The headquarters of Doma Local Government, The country home of Senator Onawo were excited over the effort of the incumbent Senator to construct the road leading from Doma to Rafin  Gabas was a nightmare for the people of Doma.

There was a Chinese adage that says development follows the road, That is to say, the impact of road networks in the life of the people can never be over-emphasized in every nation.

The Senator appealed to his constituent to remain firm at all times, the incumbent Senator was elected under the banner of the PDP.

The paramount ruler of Doma, Alhaji Ahmadu Aliyu Oga in his reaction at his palace shortly after the flag-off of 8km township road in Doma, The headquarters of Doma Local Government by Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo.

The monarch urged the senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial district not to beam his searchlight only in Doma, His country home but rather spread his projects across the five Local Governments of Awe, Doma, Keana, Lafia, and Obi respectively

He however told Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo to always be closer to his constituents as well accord genuine assistance to them when they call on him.

The Monarch enjoined the contractors, Engineer Hassan and Dahiru Biu to give the best to the community by embarking on quality work.

According to Andoma, “Always align yourself with contractors that will give you the best, and if that is achieved Sky would be your starting point.

“But not to engage contractors that will wait for mobilization before going to the field to commence work, and with that type of contractors, the road project will suffer a setback.
