Doma APC Local Government Deputy Chairman Is Incapable-Petitioners Insist

No fewer than twenty people have petitioned the All Progressives Congress Deputy Chairman of Doma Local Government Council, Honorable John Bako Ari whom they described as incapable to run for the exalted seats.

 

The petition was signed by eight petitioners each from Akpanaja ward, The thirteen-page petition titled “Petition Against The Eligibility of Rt.Hon.John Bako Ari To Participate In The Forth Coming Local Government Election.

 

The petitioners said Bako is not fit and not sellable to be running mate to Hon. Ahmed Sarki Usman.

 

The petition uncovered that John did not resign before he contest for Councillorship of Akpanaja ward in 2018.

 

That the former speaker was collecting his monthly salary as Councilor and as a civil servant from Ekye Development Area.

 

With John Bako Ari the APC in Doma Local Government would encounter a serious impediment

 

The petitioners described John as a disloyal party member who was busy pursuing his personal affairs.

 

They also attributed the defeat of APC in the last general election to his weaknesses

 

John Bako Ari should be substituted with any other qualified person, The petitioners insisted.

 

The petition was collectively signed by  Yaro Musa Obendo, Caleb Usman Gado, Samuel, James Balefi, Danladi Oga Galadima, Haruna Audu, James Iyimoga, and others.

 

They also accused him of diverting fertilizer meant for farmers as well abandoned his immediate electoral.

 

Hon John Bako Ari when contacted declined to comment over the issue, saying he was advised not to talk to the press by the Chairmanship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress and the immediate past clerk of Doma Local Government Council.

 

Though the Deputy Chairman told Journalists that he resigned as a civil servant from the service of Ekye Development Area of Doma Local Government Council on March,1,2018.

 

As at press time he did not present his resignation letter from Olam Rice Farm before he contested for the elective position.

 

“I will get back to the press anytime I’m ready to talk to you people,” said John Bako Ari.
