Comrade Dogo Shammah of the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, Lafia has emerged as the new chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Nasarawa state chapter.
The new chairman, Dogo Shammah emerged with a total vote of 139 while the outgoing chairman of the state council, Dan Vintyze Yakubu scores 23 votes.
The free and fair election was conducted by the national Secretary of the NUJ, Shuaibu Leman, the national vice president zone D, chief Wilson Bako (J.P) ,the election was devoid of acrimony.
Majority of the positions are unopposed, the seat of Assistant Secretary, Treasurer are unopposed while the slut of Financial secretary, Auditor and Secretary would be bye-election.
