The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party Chairmen Forum of SDP, Plateau state and Nigeria,Hon Abubakar Dogora has called on the electorate in the country to shun money bag politicians whose storm in trade is to mislead the general public.
Dogora made this known in an exclusive interview with our medium in his office in Jos.
He said the party has resolved the whole lingering crises within them which led to the conduct of Congress that hold on the 26/04/2022 here at the headquarters.
Hon Abubakar explained further that the party has structure across the 17 LGAs starting with the wards,LGs, and state where he emerge as the chairman of SDP for the second tenure.
According to him, his reelection as the Chairman of the SDP for the second term was due to his personal relationship, and high level of acceptability in the state.
He noted that the chairmen of the 17 LGAs found him a worthy ambassador, we have 207 federal wards as a political party, and we are ready to reposition the party for service delivery to the good people of Plateau state.
Speaking on the internal crises of the SDP, in 2019, Abubakar Dogara reiterated that they had minimal issues on the ground that were resolved in court . Adding that APC and PDP are into crises that still continued unabated.
However, he maintained that the coming of Prof. Jerry Gana sometimes in 2019 created conflict which we end it by strengthening the party structure.
There is no division in SDP we have come out stronger so nothing of such anymore, we are more focused and determined to forge ahead , he said
Hon Abubakar Dogara disclosed that the manifesto, program which is wonderful is what is currently attracting Nigerian into the SDP because it gives priority to issues of justice, welfare, and the nomination and expression of interest forms are affordable to all intending aspirants.
He revealed that the party enjoys carrying out the people-oriented program of reaching out to less privileged people in society.
Abubakar added that they are making wide consultation with stakeholders, religious and traditional rulers toward identifying areas of correcting mistakes of the past.
He stressed that Nigerians no longer trust the APC and PDP because they have all failed people so we are advising the electorate to vote for those that have integrity and policy that can improve the well-being of the citizens.
Abubakar Dogara harped on social security and empowerment of the youth, which can make them self-reliant and the most important aspect of SDP is to make Plateau state the commercial hub of the country.
He noted that in the past businessmen and women influx into Plateau state from Gombe, Kano which we promise to return the state back to its lost glory.
Dogara said his commitment, loyalty, and trust in the party which he has served the party since 2013 and in 2015 without sponsorship, the party became popular in Nigeria with members driving over 10000.
Abubakar told our medium that the party received decampees from the ruling APC and PDP, the like of Dr Joseph Goluwa, Engr Ponyah Ibrahim, Dr. Simput all are men of integrity.
He promised to conduct free and fair elections to chart a new course, we have people with fresh ideas to develop and revamp back infrastructural deficiency across the length and breadth of the plateau.
Abubakar admonished the people of the plateau state to remember after every election there is life, a peaceful atmosphere so people should avoid following politicians just to make money as we are just to salvage the state.
