  • Says It Will Protest Against Petroleum Minister

The Dino Melaye led Anti-Corruption group, the Anti-Corruption Network, today called on the Nigeria government never to wave away the $20 billion which suspended Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi said it was missing.

The group in a statement issued on Sunday, in Abuja by the its  Executive Secretary of ACN Hon. Dino Melaye said; “We are organising the mother of all protest against the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Allison Deziani Madueke and the NNPC over the missing  $20 billion and more. We shall no longer keep quiet over issues that concerns us as a people and may destroy our future.

“The Police and other security agencies should be ready to arrest, intimidate, harass, shoot, teargas and maltreat us. Nigerians should not be taken for granted. The time for change is now! We have no other country to call our own but Nigeria.

“We will not allow bigots and power usurpers to destroy our God’s-given country. Corruption is the bane of our development and we will fight it. In an unjust society, silence is a crime. Through this protest, we will prove that power truly belongs to the people and will call the attention of the world on Nigeria.

“Mobilisation is on going like never before. A date and time will be circulated soonest. No one can stop a moving train. We shall and must salvage our fatherland even with our blood. We will prove that though tribe and tongue may differ but in brotherhood we stand. We shall surely overcome the forces of evil. God bless Nigeria.”
