Deputy Chairman Lafia Local Goes Tough On Street Hawking By Under Aged Girls

The Deputy Chairman of Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa state has appealed to parents and Guardians alike to reframe from Child labour and street hawking.

 

The female politician stated this at the end of a two weeks training of over 200 womenfolk by the National Directorate of Employment, an occasion held at the hall of Lafia Local Government.

 

Hon.Hafsat Abdullahi maintained that female  child that were thrown to the street in the name of street hawking  falls into the hands of merchants of evil who used them as sex machines.

 

The Deputy Chairman said the only legacies to bequeath a Girl-Child are a solid education that would last forever.

 

She called on parents especially head of the family to beam their searchlight on their female wards who are used as tools of putting food on the table of their families.

 

She described the unfolding as a terrible menace to the society as a whole.

 

She commended the organiser of the Skills Acquisition championed by the woman leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state, Esty Monde

 

Hafsat appreciate the leadership style of Governor Abdullahi Sule for touching the lives of the people.

 

The Deputy Chairman of Lafia Local Government also commended the immediate past governor of Nasarawa state, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura for exhibiting efficient and effective governance in Nasarawa state.
