Danboyo Launches 235 Tree Planting Campaign In FCE (Tech) Gombe

A convener Mr. Yusuf Danboyo has launched a tree-planting campaign exercise of 235 trees in Federal College of Education (Tech) Gombe to eliminate deforestation in the area.

Yusuf who said the tree planting campaign exercise in the area will not only go along way but serve as a symbol for the fight against deforestation which has been a major factor that affects the community in the state.

He said the exercise will help to give priority to stopping the problem that affects community through climate change.

According to him, this exercise has begun some years ago when he embarked on tree planting to ensure that affected places are protected.

He assured that the exercise will continue to yield momentum in the area of tree planting until people demands are made.

He appealed to the people to always shy away from cutting down trees unnecessarily to avoid excessive destruction of erosion.

Speaking earlier, the director Agriculture Federal College of Education (Tech) Gombe Engr Mamman Gero appreciated the gesture made by the convener of the program and assure that the school will do everything possible to ensure that the exercise is sustained.
