Gombe Goes Green Initiative Targets One Million Tree Planting Annually-Dep Gov

Gombe state Deputy Governor Dr Mannasah Daniel Jatau has shown government commitment to take off one million tree planting exercise annually under Gombe Goes Green ( 3G) initiative.

The Deputy Governor who is the chairman committee implementation on Gombe Goes Green Initiative stated this yesterday in Gombe while meeting with members of the committee in his office.

He said the Initiative found it necessary to take off the tree planting exercise immediately inorder to fight against deforestation which has been the major problem affecting public in the society.

According to him, necessary action should be taking to avert these problems than allowing it to continue we most used our energy, as well as knowledge to end this problem.

Dr Jatau said government in its wise decision will never failed the people as is working tirelessly to ensure that things are done properly.

He assured members of the committee of government readiness to carry everyone alone even as he promised to operate an open door policy to the people.

If we use our initiative well, we can plant one million trees in five months.  Issue of climate change will no longer be there due to availability of trees planted he said.
