CYPI Calls On Eligible Members To Obtain Voter Card

The Christian Youths in Politics Initiative (CYPI) has called on eligible voters in Nigeria to intensify efforts to obtain an INEC Voter Card and vote out bad leaders that had continued to milk and underdevelop the country.

The National Chairman of the CYP, Comr.Sam, Chris made this known during his awareness campaign in Plateau Southern Senatorial District stakeholder engagement in Langtang North on Sunday. 

 According to him, the Southern zone sensitization meeting held in  Langtang North was part of the ongoing efforts to mobilize, educate, and prepare Christian youths for active participation in the 2027 General Elections.

Sam Chris stressed that the 2027 General Elections should mark a turning point where light decisively overcomes darkness in Plateau State politics.

He explained further that the broader movement was to reposition Plateau State from its current challenges toward a future defined by peace, accountability, and development—symbolically captured as a transition from darkness to light.

However, the stakeholders’ engagement  recorded strong participation from:

CAN Officials (Southern Zone)

CYPI Leaders across the Southern Zone (Zonal, Local Government, and Unit levels.

Former Members of the House of Representatives

Youth coordinators and grassroots mobilisers

The National Chairman focused more on strategic responsibility of Christian Youth in Plateau State ahead.

He emphasised that the meeting was convened to:

Prepare CYPI members for the decisive role they must play in the 2027 General Elections

Chris charged t members CYPi to actively participate in the primary to the real electioneering campaign that can produce credible leaders ., Adding , the  stakeholders and delegates must key  into electoral process .

He pointed out that we need a   clear choice — “Light Must Replace Darkness ” and ,we cannot compromise the  choice: of our vote .

“This time, we will not vote for darkness; we will vote for light.”

He stressed that Plateau State is currently facing realities that reflect darkness, including:

Insecurity ,killings attacks on communities ,kidnapping and

poor governance and administrative backwardness.

Sam Chris harped on political bad leadership that their election into the  state make us to be vulnerable people , he noted, that these are  accidental but  they are as the result of our wrong choice of  leaders through lack of   civic awareness.

He ,therefore, emphasised on era of tolerating darkness must come to an end every vote cast in 2027 must be accounted to deliberate vote for light.We must be conscious to  reject  darkness at all levels.

He further clarified that,

Light represent peace, security, justice, accountability, and effective leadership as darkness represents fear, instability, poor governance, and suffering“Plateau State must rise. Darkness must give way. Light must prevail.”

The Chairman issued firm directives to all zonal leaders in , Local Governments , and Unit Leaders to  intensify grassroot mobilisation to ensure that every eligible voter is prepared to participate.

He maintained that ,our Voters should vote  consciously for light and reject all forms of darkness in leadership choices.
