Crisis Rocks Jigawa APC, As Party Suspends Chairman

A crisis is said to be rocking the All Progressives Congress in Jigawa as the State acting chairman Alhaji Habibu Sara has been suspended from office, his suspension came the party stakeholders held a meeting.

A source close to the party officials revealed that the state party secretary Muhd Umar was asked to take over the party affairs pending the announcement of the next line of action against the suspended chairman.

It is alleged that the party chairman siphoned millions of naira to enrich himself, as the report alleged that he was diverting the party’s fund into his own private account.

All efforts to get to speak to the suspended acting chairman proved abortive as he didn’t answer calls place to his phone.

All the party’s caucus insisted that a communique of the meeting would be an issue.

Habibu Sara has been acting state party chairman since 2018 when the former chairman Hon Ado Sani Kiri was elected as member representing Ringim Taura.

According to some aggrieved party members who spoke to our reporter at the party headquarter in  Dutse, said the suspension of the acting chairman is due to the battle for the control of the party ahead of the 2023 general election while others accused him of dubious characters.
